Gloria Victis - PVP - Breaker Build 2026

Image
Crush Shield Walls, Destroy Cavalry & Lead the Frontline Every successful warband needs specialists. While tanks absorb damage and archers rain arrows from afar, the Breaker exists for one reason—to dismantle the enemy's strongest assets. Shield walls, mounted cavalry and heavily armoured frontline fighters are all priority targets for this devastating melee build. Armed with brutal two-handed weapons and backed by exceptional Strength, the Breaker excels at punching holes through enemy formations, allowing the rest of the team to surge through. If you enjoy aggressive frontline combat, dealing massive weapon damage and being the player that turns a stalemate into a breakthrough, this is the build for you. Gloria Victis - PVP - Focussed Archer Build 2026

Image
Dominate Castle Walls and Break Enemy Formations In large-scale PvP, not every player needs to be on the frontline. While infantry lock shields and cavalry disrupt flanks, the Archer serves an equally important purpose: eliminating Medics, Other Archers and Disrupting frontline troop wind up attacks. Whether you're defending towering castle walls or laying siege to enemy fortifications, a well-played archer can completely change the outcome of a battle. Precision shots into tightly packed enemy formations, suppressing healers, forcing shield walls to reposition, and punishing exposed players are all responsibilities unique to this role. If you enjoy positioning, accuracy and battlefield awareness over charging headfirst into melee, the Siege Archer may be one of the most rewarding PvP builds in Gloria Victis.   Archer Build Overview Armour 6 Pieces of Light Armour Weapons Reflex Longbow Dagger One-Handed Sword Light Shield (optional but best used) Playstyle Max...

Problems that still plague Gloria Victis

Image
Remembering the Past For those unfamiliar with Gloria Victis , it was a three faction medieval MMORPG where players fought to control castles, villages, and strongholds. Every captured objective provided benefits to the faction, while guild castles became symbols of prestige and power. Years ago I played for the Midlanders as part of a PvP guild called DRATER . We fought alongside other Midlander guilds in constant wars over territory, guild castles, and faction dominance. It was medieval warfare at its best: heavy armour, pikes, cavalry charges, greatswords, and massive sieges that could involve hundreds of players. When Gloria Victis worked, there was simply nothing else quite like it. Unfortunately, it rarely worked as well as it should have. The game was plagued by server instability, rubber banding, de-synchronisation, and performance issues that made large scale PvP frustrating. New players would arrive, experience those problems within their first few days, and leave negative r...

Item Quality: Why does it matter?

Image
Item Quality: MATTERS Quality of items determines the Durability, Effective Damage and Damage Mitigation of Items. Durability: This is exactly as the meaning, how long you can use something before it breaks/becomes useless. Effective Damage: How the quality of your weapon effects another player in terms of Damage (Piercing, Slashing, Blunt). Weapons at low quality are useful but won't impact as much damage as you want. High quality weapons will impact higher damage. Damage Mitigation: This is basically how well your armour is made. IF it is made well over Quality 75 then you will shrug off hits and take less armour (not guaranteed if the weapon impacting you is your armour counter). Low Quality armour has less Damage mitigation therefore you take a lesser % of damage than you would in high Quality armour.

Life is Feudal - Server settings

Server Settings can be the difference between easy gameplay and and very difficult gameplay. Knowing what setting does what, is very essential as it can be a decider if you want to play solo, with a friend or a group. Or if you need to play with a group (low skill cap, low mulitplier etc) Below I explain what each do and if you prefer to watch, I have the video above for your viewing pleasure. Skill Stats Progression Multiplier: 1 means it's going to be like the MMO, sitting grinding for ages. 1000 means the game is a cheese fest, 1 action triggers 90 skill points to be awarded. Skill Cap: Your overall Cap of skill points allowed on your Combat and Crafting Skills Terraforming speed multiplier: 1=10 from digging (Using a pickaxe) Goes from 1-5: 10, 20. 30, 40, 50 ore/stone/granite obtained. Character Creation, what you need to know

Image
Character Creation in Life is Feudal is fairly straight forward: Unless you are new this might seem a bit confusing. Creating a new character on a server is easy, but you need to know a few things before you creat your characters. First you want to join the server and then create a new chracter, give your character a fitting name: A made up one or an RP name. Change their race, looks voice etc. But what about Attributes, Crafting and combat Skills? Let me explain: Strength : This skill dictates how hard you hit a player with a tool or weapon. If you have low Strength you won't deal a lot of damage to your opposing player or animal. If you have high strength you will deal a lot of damage: fairly straight forward.  Strength also has the ability to dictate what weapon you can use effectively: If you have low Strength and use a heavy 2 handed weapon, your swings will be slow and clunk, whereas if you have high strength, your swing will be smooth and fast. Agility : This ...
